FIXED PRICE PROGRAMS

INSTRUMENT RATING - $7000

Private Pilot Certification Required. Includes ~45 hours of cross country flying and 40 hours of simulated and/or actual instrument flight training.

INSTRUMENT GROUND COURSE

At the beginning of the training cycle, students will take part in either in-person or online training for the the instrument ground course.

FAA APPROVED BASIC TRAINING DEVICE

Introduction to basic attitude instrument flying (5 hours) and experience with transitioning from enroute to terminal and approach phases of flight (5 hours)

NORMALLY ASPIRATED IFR EQUIPED AIRCRAFT

Each flight conducted as a 50NM cross country allowing the student  fly up to a total of 30 hours learning basic attitude instrument flying, enroute navigation techniques and approach sequence and vectoring while in simulated and/or actual IFR conditions

TURBINE POWERED IFR EQUIPED AIRCRAFT

Long cross country flying in a turbine aircraft for a minimum of 8-20 hours in either visual, simulated and/or actual IFR conditions depending upon student requirements.  All flights will be conducted under IFR conditions.   Note: students must have achieved a passing grade on their Instrument Written exam *AND* completed the pre-requisite training as per the FLY SDA syllabus.


PRIVATE PILOT - $11000

Student Pilot Certificate + FAA Medical Required.

PRIVATE PILOT GROUND COURSE

At the beginning of the training cycle, students will take part in either in-person or online training for the the private pilot ground course.

FAA APPROVED BASIC TRAINING DEVICE

Introduction to basic attitude  flying (5 hours) and experience with navigation and pattern work (5 hours).  A total of 2.5 hours can be applied towards the hours needed for this certificate. 

NORMALLY ASPIRATED AIRCRAFT

A total of 50 hours (~30 hours with a CFI) is allocated towards the completion of the Private Pilot Certificate.  Before the student solo occurs, a passing grade on the Private Pilot exam must be obtained by the student.  At the end of training, the student pilot will be signed off and ready for the FAA Practical Exam.


G-1000 TRAINING COURSE

This is an opportunity for a pilot to gain experience in a turbine powered aircraft (usually a Grand Caravan). There is a 10-hour ground course that must be attended before any flights can be conducted. All costs associated with the flying portion of this offering are made as donations to the non-profit organization conducting the flight operations.

This is a 10-hour in-person or online course on the G-1000

FAA APPROVED BASIC TRAINING DEVICE

The basic training device is used to teach the student how to use the G-1000 in all phases of flight.  Approximately 10 hours of instruction are included in this portion of the training course.


TURBINE TIMEBUILDER

Private Pilot + Instrument Rating Required. This is an opportunity for a pilot to gain experience in a turbine powered aircraft (usually a Grand Caravan). There is a 10-hour ground course that must be attended before any flights can be conducted. C208B GRAND CARRAVAN GROUND TRAINING

This is a 10-hour on-line course to ensure the pilot is familiar with the aircraft to be flown.

15-HOUR EXPERIENCE

Most of these flights originate in Houston, however they may not either originate or end in Houston.  The student is responsible for travel to the departure airport and to the return airport for a given trip.  All hotels and food will be provided in the cost of the trip.  All costs associated with this portion of the offering are made as donations directly to the non-profit organization conducting the flight operations.

50-HOUR EXPERIENCE

5000
